I will review a specific business process through lean and industrial engineering principles then provide recommendations, and implement changes to improve the process.
Example: Reviewing the process of sorting and documenting donations and looking for waste in the process along with opportunities to automate data entry.
KPI & Scorecard Development
I will establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIS) for the business along with a scorecard to track health.
Example: For a non-profit, developing metrics to assess partners to ensure that they align with the values of the organization using a weighted scorecard based on survey responses.
Inventory Management
I will establish inventory organization techniques to improve visibility into inventory.
Example: Utilizing excel to organize the items currently in inventory and use VBA to automate the inventory changes.
Work Instruction and Standard Work Development
I will review work processes and create detailed work instructions to improve consistency of job across colleagues and improve training for new hires.
Example: Documenting the best practices and process of completing inventory of food pantries.
Kaizen Events
I will facilitate a single or multi-day kaizen with key business stakeholders to work towards improvement in a desired area of a business.
Example: Collecting key data, preparing an agenda, and discussions for a single day kaizen focused on budget management for the organization based on industry trends.
